Marquez from Lorenzo while Pirro impresses in FP1

As has become the norm in the 2015 MotoGP season, Marc Marquez and Jorge Lorenzo were the fastest out of the blocks as they comfortably led the way in the first free practice session in Misano. Less than a tenth of a second separated the top two, who dominated free practice proceedings in the past three rounds of the year, at the close of session, in which both posted seven competitive laps in the 1m 33 second bracket. On the resurfaced Misano circuit, Marquez's fastest time was over half a second faster than Lorenzo's official lap record from 2011.
