Rossi leads wet morning warm-up

Fourth fastest on Saturday and seemingly unable to match the pace of Marc Marquez and Jorge Lorenzo, the weather may have handed Valentino Rossi a reprieve for Sunday's British MotoGP as he led the wet morning warm-up session. Early morning rain and steady drizzle left the Silverstone circuit soaked for the 20-minute session. Rossi shot to the top of the standings with his final lap, bringing the grandstands to their feet. Following Rossi at the close of the session, Danilo Petrucci slotted into second in a session which saw lap times some 18 to 20 seconds off those posted in dry conditions on Saturday.
