Lorenzo and Marquez Neck-and-Neck at Indy

Jorge Lorenzo and Marc Marquez had little to separate them after the pair dominated the opening day of free practice at the Indianapolis Grand Prix. The two double world champions were split by less than a tenth of a second in each session with Lorenzo eventually taking the honours, three thousandths of a second ahead of his compatriot. Lorenzo had been marginally the faster in the morning, edging out Marquez by 0.093s, and the pair renewed their battle in FP2 with the factory Ducatis of Andrea Iannone and Andrea Dovizioso also getting in amongst the leaders with the aid of a softer tyre.
