Marquez: Lorenzo is strong but we re close

Marc Marquez acknowledged the stellar Friday pace of Jorge Lorenzo but feels he and his Repsol Honda are in victory contention after he finished MotoGP FP2 second overall in Indianapolis. The reigning world champion looked strong throughout the day, posting his fastest time of 1m 32.863s on his final run, which also included three other laps in the 1m 33s. Speaking at the close of Friday's action, Marquez believes he is 'a tenth away' from Lorenzo in terms of race pace but still feels he has margin to improve on that time. “Lorenzo's rhythm is really strong but we're close.
